Impressions on a space
Site specific performance for five dancers
Duration: 20 min.
The work was commissioned by the British Museum and performed on the 7th Novembre 2008.

Choreography: Dam Van Huynh

Impressions on a space was part of a Late Night event -Statuephilia - taking place at the British Museum.
As part of the exhibition, the golden statue of Kate Moss by Marc Quinn was displayed in the room of Ancient Greek Heritage.

Drawing his inspiration both from the majestic scenery of the British Museum and the statue of Kate Moss, Dam Van Huynh created a work in progress adapted to the space and to the public event.
Impressions on a space is a choreographic impression on the body, body image and its relationship with the public. Depicted by five dancers, the choreographic movement invades the space by directly confronting the audience in an intimate dialogue. Complementing form and stillness of the surrounding elements, the dancers explore movement qualities inspired by the space.
