Discovery Showcased in Ho Chi Minh City

We are pleased to announce our upcoming sharing taking place on Friday 24 January, 6.30pm at Lệ Thanh Theatre - 25 Phan Phú Tiên district 5- HCMC in Vietnam.

DISCOVERY culminates a 3 week movement research period between Dam Van Huynh, Arabesque Dance, UK based music composer Jamie Hamilton and dance artists from the local community in Ho Chi Minh City.

On Tuesday 19th November Winding-Twist was performed in front of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at an event hosted by Only Connect.

Winding-Twist - performed by dancers from Dance United - was created as a curtain raiser to Gesundheit! in June this year. Dance United was invited to this event also featuring local charities Bounce Back, Handmade Alliance, Switchback and Spark Inside.

Gesundheit! is an intimate gathering of individuals from different paths of life, searching for a common voice.

The evening will comprise a Curtain Raiser by dancers from Dance United and the showcase of Gesundheit! followed by a Q&A session with the artists.

WORKSHOPS

Dam Van Huynh has developed his own methodology - based on the division of the torso - for accessing the widest range of movement. Workshops will invite participants to find their own rhythm through interactive activities.

Dam will be leading workshops on Wednesday 29 and Friday 31 May, 6-8pm(sign in at 5.30pm).

£6/£3 - Discount with purchase of performance ticket and is only applicable on presentation of a ticket.
