A cultural choreographic exchange project led by Van Huynh Company with partners Beijing Normal University (BNU) and Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU). Van Huynh Company was invited to be resident choreographer for 2 weeks in each respective University (UK/China) developing a work before bringing all artists together for a week finalising the creative process at CCCU. The result was a unique working model bringing together artists from different countries/cultures through dance.
Dam Van Huynh led residencies at Dance Bridges Festival in Kolkata - India in 2017 and 2015. These residencies allowed Dam and his company to connect with local and international artists, developing new work made in Kolkata and presenting it as part of the Festival.
Dam is currently Associate Director of Dance Bridges Festival - an international non-profit organisation believing in excellence and the power of community; building alliances through a cutting edge biennial international dance festival and associated events; aiming to empower local communities to transform Kolkata into creative city.
A dynamic duet created by Dam Van Huynh as part of an on going commitment to nurturing and developing works for youth artists. The duet was premiered alongside the main company as a curtain raiser and was invited to be performed for the Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge.

A choreographic commission for The Place – London Contemporary Dance School. The work was created for 16 dance artist and premiered as part of an evening of work by renown international Choreographers.
A creative development project supported by British Council/Arts Council England through the Artist International Development Fund (AIDF) giving Dam Van Huynh an invaluable opportunity to spend a month and a half in his birth country Vietnam - collaborating with Arabesque, engaging with local artists, learning traditional and contemporary ideas and collecting music samples as part of his heritage rediscovery process. This experience has triggered a pivotal shift in Van Huynh's movement language inviting him to delve ever deeper into the nature of the human condition.

This two year residency enabled Dam Van Huynh to explore his creative voice and movement language with full support by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. It was in this residency where he was able to push the limits of his ideas on the diverse movement qualities and textures of the human body forming his unique movement language influenced by Western and Eastern ideas. During his residency, Van Huynh was able to work with dance students from HKAPA and deliver international tours to Busan International Festival – Korea, M1 Fringe Festival – Singapore and impulsed a collaborative project between HKAPA and Hong Kong based dance company Unlock Dancing Plaza.
